Allegation of land grabbing against Tanti Dal leader in Hatiya

Allegations have been raised against Ibrahim Khalil, Member Secretary of the Upazila Tanti Dal's North Branch, and his associates for forcibly occupying a man's land and constructing a road in the darkness of night in Hatiya Upazila of Noakhali.
The victim, Fakhrul Islam, has filed a written complaint with the police station.
The incident took place in Azim Nagar area under Ward No. 4 of Harni Union in the upazila. The accused, Ibrahim Khalil, is the son of Jafor from Harni Union. His associates, including Bacchu, Manik, Arif, and others, are also allegedly involved.
According to the complaint, Fakhrul Islam was staying in Chattogram due to his job when he received a phone call from a neighbor informing him that someone had cut his land and built a road there. Upon returning home, he found that Khalil and his associates had excavated his cultivated land and constructed a road overnight. When he tried to stop them, they allegedly threatened him. Later, he filed a written complaint at the Chairman Ghat Police Camp.
Fakhrul Islam said, Khalil and his men cut down many of my trees, occupied my land, and built a road. They even dug a pond by cutting the soil. This has halted my farming activities. When I protested, they started threatening me. Khalil is doing this mainly for election campaigning purposes.
Regarding the matter, the accused, Ibrahim Khalil, said, Since there was no public road in the area, locals constructed the road with the chairman's permission. I am not involved in this.
Chairman Ghat Police Camp In-Charge Abdul Baten said, I have conducted an on-site investigation. They have forcibly and unlawfully constructed the road. I have advised the victim to file a case in court.
District Tanti Dal Convener Iqbal Karim Sohail said, if anyone commits wrongdoing using the party's name, organizational action will be taken against them. I am looking into the matter."
