Air flow machines distributed among 160 farmers to preserve onions in Mujibnagar

The air flow machine distribution program has been inaugurated in Mujibnagar Upazila of Meherpur with the help of farmers to preserve onions.
The programme was inaugurated at the hall of Mujibnagar Upazila Agriculture Office on Sunday at 10 am. These air flow machines were distributed among onion farmers in different villages of the upazila on the initiative of Mujibnagar Upazila Agriculture Office.
A total of 160 farmers in the upazila were distributed air flow machines today. Mujibnagar UNO Rupayan Deb was present as the chief guest at the program.
Mujibnagar Upazila Agriculture Officer Abdul Momin, Mujibnagar Press Club President Alhaj Munshi Omar Faruk, along with officials of the Agriculture Department and concerned farmers were present.
According to Agriculture Office sources, there is a risk of onions being damaged during storage due to lack of humidity and adequate air circulation.
The concerned people expressed the hope that the distribution of this machine among the onion farmers of various villages of the upazila will increase the capacity of the farmers in onion storage and they will also be benefitted in getting a fair price.
