Adviser Fawzul Kabir visits K'ganj haor areas : Haor's All -weather Road will not be demolished, problems to be resolved

The Interim Government’s Ministry of Road Transport and Bridge, Power and Mineral Resources Advisor Muhammad Fawzul Kabir khan said that From now on, the interim government will not sit in Dhaka and make any plans.We will do what the people want, and need by talking to the people.
The much-discussed 30-kilometer 'all-weather road' of Kishoreganj's Haor will not be demolished. The rivers of the haor will be dredged if necessary to combat floods.
Advisor Muhammad Fauzul Kabir Khan , made these remarks in response to questions from journalists after a view-sharing meeting with district government officials and stakeholders at the Itna Upazila Hall Room in Kishoreganj on Saturday noon.
The advisor further said, ' This road has been under discussion in various circles for quite some time. Since the road has been completed, its pros and cons will not be discussed. We will discuss the problems created by this road with the various ministries concerned and resolve them. '
Before the discussion meeting, he inspected the all-weather road.
Earlier in the morning, he inspected the ongoing activities under the project titled Proper Upgradation of Kishoreganj-Karimganj-Chamraghat Road and discussed with the project officials. From there, he went to Itna Upazila, where 100% of the district is inhabited by haors.
Incidentally, a 30-kilometer all-weather road has been built through the middle of the haor connecting Itna, Mithamoin and Ashtagram upazilas of Kishoreganj. At a workshop organized in Sylhet on November 23, Farida Akhtar, Advisor to the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, said that to ensure the free flow of water in the rivers of Sylhet and protect the division from floods, several parts of the Itna-Mithamoin-Ashtagram road (all-weather road) may be demolished if necessary. For this, an inter-ministerial decision will be taken and the initiative will be implemented.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kishoreganj, Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Hasan Chowdhury BPM and others dignified officials were also present.
