Additional Chief Engineer (Grade-2) Md. Belal Hossain has been appointed as the Chief Engineer (Routine duty) of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED).
This information was announced in an office order signed by Ashafiqun Nahar, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, on Wednesday.
Md. Belal Hossain is currently serving as Additional Chief Engineer at the Rural Infrastructure Development and Management Unit at LGED headquarters. Alongside his existing responsibilities, he will also perform the duties of Chief Engineer on a routine basis.
Md. Belal Hossain is widely popular within the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) as an honest, efficient, courteous, and soft-spoken officer.
Previously, he served for a long time as Supervising Engineer in the Administration Division at LGED headquarters. Many have expressed optimism that his intelligence and efficiency will help restore momentum to LGED. His colleagues have congratulated him.
