LGED-CRILIC held inception workshop on ' Assessment of best practices in terms of building materials '

The inception workshop on 'Assessment of Best Practices in Terms of Building Materials organized by the Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Center (CRILIC) under the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming Project (CRIMP) implemented under the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) was held on Tuesday at the Seminar Room of LGED Headquarters.
The inception workshop on 'Assessment of Best Practices in Terms of Building Materials organized by the Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Center (CRILIC) under the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming Project (CRIMP) implemented under the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) was held on Tuesday at the Seminar Room of LGED Headquarters.
The workshop was presided over by LGED Additional Chief Engineer and CRILIC Director Md. Azharul Islam. LGED Additional Chief Engineer Syeda Asma Khatun was present as the chief guest at the workshop. She said that ensuring the use of climate-tolerant and quality construction materials in the construction of sustainable infrastructure is the need of the hour. As a result of this initiative, it will be possible to spread the best practices of using modern and environmentally friendly building materials at the field level through this initiative of LGED and Crilic.
The team leader of EQMS Consulting Limited, the consulting firm appointed for the assignment in the workshop, Professor Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam, presented their presentation through PowerPoint.
The workshop was attended by LGED Additional Chief Engineers Molla Mizanur Rahman, Kazi Saiful Kabir, Md. Wahiduzzaman, Md. Golam Maula, Supervising Engineers Md. Hamidul Haque, Md. Anisul Wahab Khan, Md. Akhter Hossain and Project Directors, Executive Engineers, Senior Assistant Engineers of various projects and Project Director of Crimp-Crilic Md. Abdul Khalek, Executive Engineer of CRILIC Md. Latif Hossain and Executive Engineer Fatema Ismat Ara, Assistant Engineer Arpan Pal and Expert Consultants of CRILIC Md. Abdul Noor, Md. Best Practices in Building Materials Held
The inception workshop for the Assessment of Best Practices in Terms of Building Materials was held on May 5 Tuesday at the seminar room of the LGED Headquarters. The event was organized by the Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Centre (CReLIC) under the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming Project (CRIMP) currently being implemented by the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED).
Md. Azharul Islam Director of CRILIC and Additional Chief Engineer of LGED presided over the workshop. Syeda Asma Khatun Additional Chief Engineer of LGED attended the event as the Chief Guest.
During the session the Chief Guest Syeda Asma Khatun stated Ensuring the use of climate-resilient and high-quality construction materials is the need of the hour for sustainable infrastructure development. Through this initiative of LGED and CReLIC, it will be possible to disseminate best practices for using modern and eco-friendly building materials at the field level.

Masudur Rahman and Syed Mahbub Ahsan were present.
