A group is taking advantage of Facebook, press freedom to spread lies: Dr. Moyeen Khan

Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan said that a group is abusing power and spreading lies by taking advantage of Facebook and the freedom of the press. Everyone should be vigilant so that no one can spread lies by taking advantage of the freedom of the press.
He made this statement while speaking as the chief guest at a program to distribute cash, sewing machines and school bags to the needy and helpless people at the Palash Upazila Hallroom in Narsingdi on Saturday afternoon.
At this time, the minister said, BNP believes in accountable government, that is why it was elected through a democratic process and came to power in this country. Not through any fake votes. He said, a few people in the country will resort to lies and deceit and take advantage of social media Facebook to spread lies, which cannot be allowed. BNP does not do the politics of revenge, it does the politics of law. Those who misuse the law will not be exempted from the law.
Palash Upazila Executive Officer Ishtiaq Ahmed presided over the event, while Narsingdi LGED Executive Engineer Mohammad Fulkam Badsha, Palash Upazila BNP President Abdus Sattar, General Secretary Saiful Haque and various leaders were also present.
