
7 robbers arrested with looted goods in Bagerhat

Bagerhat District Police recovered goods worth more than one crore taka and arrested seven robbers in a heinous robbery at the company of Engine Metal Industries Limited, a subsidiary of Hamco Group of Industries, located in Fakirhat, Bagerhat.
Superintendent of Police Md. Touhidul Arif gave this information at a press briefing in the conference room of the Bagerhat Police Superintendent's office on Wednesday afternoon.
On the night of July 4, a group of masked robbers entered the godown of a company located in Fakirhat Town, Nawapara, tied up the guards and looted 15 tons of aluminum bars, 1 ton of copper, and 2.5 tons of copper cables worth a total of 1.2 million ten thousand taka.
Based on the case, a team of Bagerhat District Detective Police, through CCTV footage, various investigations, and with the help of information technology, arrested two robbers along with the stolen goods from Sitakunda area of Chittagong on July 7 and later on their confessions, conducted raids in various areas of Dhaka and arrested the rest.
The homes of the arrested people are in different districts of the country. He also said that further legal action is underway.
