Sixteen meritorious students of Dhaka University have been awarded “Mustafizur Rahman Khan--Saleha Khanam Memorial Scholarship” and fourteen other brilliant students have received “Prof. Mahfuza Khanam-Barrister Shafique Ahmed Scholarship” for securing the highest CGPA in BBA, BSS, BS and LLB Honors examinations of different academic sessions.

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal distributed certificates among the recipients of scholarship as chief guest at a function at the VC’s lounge of the university on Thursday.

Treasurer of DU Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Md. Abdus Samad, Dean of the Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Shima Zaman, donor of the trust fund Prof. Mahfuza Khanam, chairpersons of different departments and DU Registrar Probir Kumar Sarker were present on this occasion.

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal congratulated the recipients of scholarship and hoped that this scholarship would help them in attaining more success in their life. He also thanked the donor of this trust fund.

The recipients of “Mustafizur Rahman Khan--Saleha Khanam Memorial Scholarship” are- Md. Johir Rayhan, Fabliha Fairuj, Afrin Rahman Mili, Khondokar Jilhajj, Anika Afroz, S.M Abrar Rashid, Jannatul Naima, Md. Abdul Rahman (Banking and Insurance) and Rifatur Rahim, Athoy Zaman, Liya Teresa Costa, Sabit Hasan Suman, Atia Sanjida Sushoma, S.M Mashrur Arafin Ayon, Tasnim Nowshin Fariha and Md. Abdullah (Women & Gender Studies).

The recipients of “Prof. Mahfuza Khanam-Barrister Shafique Ahmed Scholarship” are- Sumit Biswas, Sumi Akter, Suptajoy Barua, Rabeya Sultana, Maisha Fahmida (Physics) and Abdur Rahman Mojumder, Afrida Noshin, Shahrima Tanjin Arni, Tahseen Lubaba, Ali Mashraf, Rubiaat Hasan Sawon, Suraya Ferdous, Tasnim and Helal Morshed Omiyo (Law).
