A 3-day Agricultural Technology Fair-2025 was inaugurated in Kumarkhali, Kushtia under the Sustainable Agriculture Extension Project in Jessore region On Tuesday at 11 am, at Abul Hossain Torun Auditorium premises with Kumarkhali UNO SM Mikail Islam in the chair.

Kushtia District Agricultural Extension Department Deputy Director Krishibid Sufi Md. Rafiquzzaman inaugurated the agricultural technology fair. Kumarkhali Upazila Agriculture Officer Raisul Islam spoke at the program organized by Kumarkhali Agricultural Extension Department. Kumarkhali Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Mahmudul Hasan, Upazila Public Health Engineer Alamgir Hossain, Rural Development Officer Moniruzzaman and others spoke as special guests.

At this time, officials of various departments of Kumarkhali Upazila, assistant and deputy assistant officers of the agricultural office, farmers, journalists and interested persons were present.

At this time, the speakers said that high-value crops can be easily cultivated using polynet houses, polymulch and other modern technologies. In this, crops can be cultivated financially by overcoming the adversities of nature. Therefore, instead of cultivating in the traditional way, new technologies should be spread in agriculture. To ensure family nutrition, crops should be grown in organic methods instead of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

20 stalls including modern agricultural technology-based, organic and chemical pesticides and nurseries participated in the fair. Nursery owners participated in the fair with various types of flower and fruit seedlings. The fair activities organized by the Kumarkhali Agricultural Office of the Agricultural Extension Office will continue until February 7.
