17 arrested on other charges, including two in Operation Devil Hunt in Rajshahi metropolis

A total of 17 people were arrested in a joint force operation in Rajshahi metropolis, including two in Operation Devil Hunt, conducted by Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) police and DB police on Thursday.
'Operation Devil Hunt' has been conducted to prevent instability in Rajshahi metropolis like the rest of the country. In the last 24 hours, 2 people have been arrested on charges of attacking the anti-discrimination student movement, causing explosions, terrorist activities and other crimes.
In addition, 15 people have been arrested in the RMP operation, of which 5 are under warrant and 10 are for other crimes.
Those arrested in Operation Devil Hunt are Md. Taufiqul Islam Tony (40) and Md. Tushar (26). Awami League activist Taufiqul Islam is the son of the late Saiful Islam of the old Bilsimla area of Boalia Model Police Station in Rajshahi metropolis, and Chhatra League activist Tushar is the son of Md. Habil Mandal of the Terkhadia area of Rajpara Police Station.
Legal action was taken against the arrested accused.
