11,162 Ansar-VDP members will be on duty at 1,708 puja mandaps in Barishal Division

On the occasion of the upcoming Sharad Durga Puja, 11,162 members of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force (Ansar-VDP) will be responsible for the security and maintenance of law and order at 1,708 puja mandaps in six districts of Barishal Division.
They will be on duty 24 hours a day to ensure the overall security of the puja mandap. In addition, eight mobile striking force teams of the Ansar Battalion will be deployed to deal with emergency situations and maintain law and order.
Out of a total of 1,708 puja mandap in six districts of Barisal division, 457 have been identified as more important, 707 as important and 544 as general. Considering the importance of these puja mandap, Ansar-VDP members will be deployed for security duties.
According to the plan, eight members will be on duty at each of the more important puja mandap. Among them, there will be one PC (platoon commander), one APC (assistant platoon commander), four male Ansar and two female Ansar members. Six members will be on duty at each of the important and general puja mandap. In this case, one APC, three male Ansar and two female Ansar members will be on duty.
To further strengthen the security of the puja mandap, eight mobile striking force teams of the Ansar Battalion will be deployed in different areas of Barisal division. Out of these, two will be in Barisal district, one in Barisal metropolis, one in Patuakhali, one in Barguna, one in Pirojpur, one in Jhalokati and one in Bhola.
Each Mobile Striking Force team will consist of six battalion Ansar members of various ranks. They will be responsible for responding quickly to emergencies, assisting in maintaining law and order, and conducting security operations as needed.
Ansar-VDP members will be responsible for the smooth celebration of the autumn Durga Puja, ensuring the safety of worshippers and visitors, and maintaining the overall law and order situation. Puja mandap-based security activities will be conducted as per the instructions of the concerned authorities.
