The project is constructing 6 power units each with a generating capacity of 1,000 MW. A two-unit nuclear power plant with Russian financial and technical support is also in the final stages of construction at Rooppur, Bangladesh. Based on VVER-1200 reactors, each unit will have a production capacity of 1,200 MW.
