With the theme 'With the immense power of milk, let's rise together', World Milk Day-2025 was celebrated with various arrangements in Chapainawabganj.

A colourful rally, discussion meeting and award distribution were organized on Sunday morning with the cooperation of the districtvadministration and the implementation of the District Livestock Department.

The rally organized on the occasion of the day circled the main roads of the district town and ended at the office of the Deputy Commissioner. After that, a discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner.

Ujjal Kumar Ghosh, Deputy Director of the Local Government Department spoke as the chief guest at the discussion meeting held under the chairmanship of District Animal Resources Officer Dr. Md. Golam Mostafa. 

Moderated by Shibganj Veterinary Surgeon Dr. Abu Ferdous, the speakers included District Civil Surgeon Md. AKM Sahab Uddin, District Fisheries Officer Md. Mahbubur and Chamber Senior Vice President Md.Khairul Islam.

District Veterinary Officer Dr. Kabir Uddin Ahmed delivered the welcome speech and District Dairy Association President Munjer Alam Manik addressed the farmers.

The speakers said that milk is one of the sources of nutrition for humans. Livestock and dairy sectors play an important role in the rural economy.

The organizers said that drinking milk daily should be made a habit to create a healthy generation, and this awareness-raising event has been organized for this purpose.

The farmers believe that such an event should be held every year at the district level to encourage milk consumption.

Later, the invited guests presented prizes and certificates to the winners of various competitions at the primary school level.
