World Habitat Day was observed in Chapainawabganj on Monday through various programs organized by the District Administration and the District Public Works Department.
A discussion meeting was held in the Conference Room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office in the morning, with Deputy Commissioner Md. Abdus Samad attending as the chief guest.
Among others, Ujjal Kumar Ghosh, Deputy Director of the Local Government Department and Administrator of Chapainawabganj Municipality and Dr. Muhammad Moshior Rahman, Superintendent of the 250-bed District Hospital, also spoke on the occasion.
An informative video presentation on World Habitat Day was showcased by Executive Engineer Amit Kumar Dev of the Public Works Department.
Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of planned urban development to ensure sustainable and livable cities. Representatives from various professions participated in the discussion.
