US Professor meets with DU VC

Professor Landon E. Hancock from the School of Peace and Conflict Studies at Kent State University, USA, met with Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dhaka, on Thursday at the Vice-Chancellor’s office.
Associate Professor Saifuddin Ahmed, Proctor of Dhaka University, and Dr. Muhammad Sajjad Hossain Siddiqui, Chairperson of the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies were also present.
During the meeting, they discussed various matters of mutual interest, particularly the possibility of initiating a joint research project between Dhaka University and Kent State University on the July Uprising and issues related to peace and conflict.
The discussion also included the exchange of faculty members, students, and researchers between the two institutions. Furthermore, they explored launching joint training programs on peacebuilding and social stability, as well as the publication of a collaborative research volume on the July Uprising.
