SUST signs agreement with BCC to orovide e-sign services

Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) and Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) have signed an agreement to provide e-Sign services. The signing ceremony took place on Monday  at 11 a.m. in the Vice-Chancellor’s office at the university. The university authorities have taken this decision to provide digital certificates to students.

The chief guest at the event was the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. A. M. Sarwaruddin Chowdhury. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “This service will enable students to obtain digital certificates online, which can be instantly verified by any university worldwide, visa-issuing embassies, or relevant authorities. This will significantly reduce the time and hassle involved in document verification for students.”

At the e-Sign service agreement signing ceremony, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Sajedul Karim remarked, “This is a timely and forward-thinking initiative. Particularly for those applying for higher education abroad, this service will allow easy online certificate verification.”

Also present at the event were the university’s Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Ismail Hossain, Dean of the School of Applied Sciences and Technology Professor Dr. Mohammad Reza Selim, Dean of the School of Life Sciences Professor Dr. Md. Abdullah Al Mamun, Dean of the School of Management and Business Administration Professor Dr. Mohammad Shahidul Haque, Dean of the School of Agriculture and Mineral Sciences Professor Dr. Mohammad Abu Sayed Arfin Khan, and Acting Registrar Syed Salim Mohammad Abdul Kadir.

Representing BCC at the signing ceremony were Executive Director Dr. Mohammad Mehedi Hasan, In-Charge Mohammad Mahidur Rahman, and Architect Hasan Uz Zaman.
