Two soil traders fined for illegally cutting soil from river banks in Mirzapur

A mobile court judge has collected a fine of one lakh taka from two soil traders for illegally cutting soil from the river banks at night using an excavator in Mirzapur, Tangail.
On Wednesday night, the mobile court judge, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Masudur Rahman, conducted a drive in the Trimohan area of the Bangshai River in Sadar. During this, two traders named Robin Miah and Moslem Uddin were arrested along with a truck filled with soil.
Later, a fine of one lakh taka was collected from the two traders through the mobile court.
Judge Masudur Rahman said in the mobile court that such drives will continue in the public interest.
