
Two arrested by BGB while returning from infiltration into India

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested two Bangladeshi nationals who illegally entered India and were returning with cows on Monday afternoon at the Nagarvita border in Baliadangi upazila of Thakurgaon district.
According to the BGB, two Bangladeshi nationals, Md. Manik (28) and Md. Rezaul Islam, illegally crossed the zero line with 8 cows and entered about 200 yards inside India through the area near border pillar 376/5-S in Thakurgaon.
Later, while returning to Bangladesh, a patrol team of Nagarvita BOP arrested them along with the cows and brought them to the BOP. Later, the cows were taken to a local stable and the detainees were handed over to the Baliadangi Police Station.
Lieutenant Colonel Tanzir Ahmed, Commander (CO) of Thakurgaon 50 BGB Battalion, said, "No citizen of India or Bangladesh can enter any country illegally. Still, the two Bangladeshi men entered India. On their return, BGB members detained them."
