Tuition fees waived for DU students injured in July Uprising

The tuition fees of Dhaka University students injured in the student movement and mass uprising in July-August 2024 have been waived. As per the recommendation of the Finance Committee, a decision was taken to waive the tuition fees of the injured students in the Syndicate meeting held on Monday.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam presided over the meeting.
It is worth noting that the Dhaka University administration has taken up a month-long program to celebrate the second anniversary of the historic July Uprising. As part of the central program, separate programs are being held in various halls, faculties, departments and institutes. These programs include - publication of anthologies based on the July Uprising, seminars, reminiscence and discussion meetings, essay writing competitions, personal experience exchange, cultural programs, debate competitions, etc.
