Satkhira Sadar Correspondent 

A training workshop titled “Preventing Yellow Journalism and Promoting Objective Reporting in the Media” was held with the participation of journalists from print and electronic media in Satkhira district.

 The workshop was organized by the Bangladesh Press Council in cooperation with the Satkhira District Administration. It took place on Thursday morning at the conference room of Satkhira Circuit House.

The workshop was presided over by Satkhira Deputy Commissioner Mostak Ahmed, and the chief guest and resource person was Justice A.K.M. Abdul Hakim, Chairman of the Bangladesh Press Council.

The welcome speech was delivered by District Information Officer Jaharul Islam Tutul. As a resource person, Bangladesh Press Council Secretary (Deputy Secretary) Md. Abdus Sabur spoke on the importance of adhering to the Press Council’s code of conduct for objective journalism.

Special guests present at the workshop included Additional Superintendent of Police Mukit Hasan Khan and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Binchupada Paul. At the end of the workshop, certificates were distributed among the trained journalists of the district.
