A joyful boat trip was organized by the Tongibari Press Club with journalists working in print, electronic and online newspapers of the upazila and district.
The boat trip started on Saturday at 10 am from the upazila's Hasail Ghat by trawler. First, the journalists enjoyed the picturesque view of the Padma River at Chidarchar in Jajira Union of Shariatpur. At 2 pm, a friendly football tournament was held in the Hasail Nagarjowar area by dividing the district and upazila's journalists into two teams.
After the game, after bathing and lunch, everyone went to Naopara Kashban Tila to take group photos and selfies. After having tea at Dighirpar Trawler Ghat at 5 pm, the boat trip was officially declared over at 6 pm after returning to Hasail Ghat.
Cultural programs were organized throughout the trip. Musicians Partha Sarathi Roy and Lalchan Das enlivened the boat trip to the tune of songs.
Former President of Munshiganj District Press Club Shahid E Hasan Tuhin, Former General Secretary Mamunur Rashid Khoka, President of Tongibari Press Club Mozaffar Hossain Sheikh, General Secretary Roni Sheikh, Former President Advocate B.M. Shamim and other journalists from the district and upazila were present at the time.
