Three family members including SSC candidate killed in Kaunia road mishap

Three members of the same family, including an SSC examinee, were killed in a tragic road accident in Kaunia upazila of Rangpur on Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred around 9:15 am in the Jummarpar area of Mahesha village of the upazila, on the Rangpur-Kurigram highway.
The deceased were Rubina Begum (32), a resident of Mahesha village and wife of Ashraful Islam, their two-year-old son Rahmat Ali, niece Afsana Begum Sneha (16), who was an SSC examinee of Mirbagh Girls' School.
According to the details of the incident, Ashraful Islam was taking his wife, child and niece to the Kaunia Mofazzal Hossain Government High School examination center on a motorcycle. When they reached the Jummarpar area of Mahesha village, a speeding bus ran over their motorcycle. Rubina Begum, Rahmat Ali and Afsana Begum Sneha lost their lives on the spot. Ashraful Islam is undergoing treatment at the hospital with serious injuries.
Police from Kaunia Police Station reached the spot after the accident and recovered the body and efforts are on to identify the bus responsible for the accident.
