The problem of Bangladesh

The problem of Bangladesh"s health system in bangladesh for 55years of inpendence and our work

 on wednesday 26 march

Dr. Mohammed Mahtab Hossain Mazed

 Wednesday is the 55th Great Independence Day and National Day 2025. That means we have passed 54 years as an independent country. Whether our achievements, successes and failure at this time are enough to calculate! If we still say that there is no longer a new independent country or freedom of independence, we do not think there is any logic to say. The main goal of an independent country was the hunger, poverty -free and discriminatory society. All citizens are entitled to equal asylum to the law and will be equal in the eyes of the law. According to the constitution and the laws of the country, the right to vote and rice will be ensured with equal opportunity for politics. Communal harmony will be maintained as well as every citizen of the country will enjoy basic human rights beautifully. The main theme of today's writing is to investigate whether the present generation and the thought of the present generation and the murubis are positive or negative as to what was supposed to be in our health sector in the 54 years of independenceThe health sector of Bangladesh has long been subjected to mismanagement, restrictions, and irregularities. More than 5 years of independence, the people of the country are still suffering from an effective and equally accessible health care system for all. Even no government has taken the desired action so far to improve the basic structure of the health sector.

In this situation, the active role of the interim government is essential for the improvement of the country's medical services, monitoring, and a long -term solution. This article was prepared to bring the matter to the notice of the health sector by analyzing the existing problems and possibilities.

Biomedical Engineering is one of the most important aspects of the health sector. The role of this branch is very important in the development and management of medical equipment. Although numerous biomedical engineers graduate every year from the country's renowned institution, BUET and other universities, most of them are moving abroad without serving the country. (This is definitely not only a biomedical student but also the same is the case for other students, including doctors. So many doctors are going to become a BCS cadre after reading doctors, engineers.

How effective is that investment if they do not work for the country even after making a student at the state level at a cost of millions? The Government should use the country's talent and skill:

1.    Invest in the development of domestic medical equipment.

2.    Holding talented with high pay and research opportunities.

3.    Ensure the role of biomedical engineers in local industrialization.

In order to formulate specific plans and implementation of this issue, a special committee needs to be constituted under the supervision of the interim government.

This is an ongoing process, and not only the interim government period, but also in all sectors of the state in the future, its benefits should be effectively implemented. Despite the next phase or political change of the government, the activities of all important sectors, including the health sector, must be conducted healthy and continuously. It is our responsibility to ensure that the developmental activities of the country will never stop through the right direction, effective policies and specific steps.

> Lack of irregularities and surveillance of private hospitals;

Inhuman events have recently been revealed in a private hospital in the capital, such as the use of expired drugs, reuse of sensitive medical devices in the operation theater and rubbing the date of drugs. These events are not only risky for the life of the patients, but also crushing people's confidence in the medical system of the country.
The lack of regulation in private hospitals in the country is increasing moral degradation. Due to the constraints of government hospitals, 5% of patients have to get private services. However, effective control over the quality and cost of these services has not been established.

To do in this case:

1.    To ensure surveillance under the supervision of an independent regulatory body on the activities of private hospitals.

2.    Ensure exemplary punishment for negligence in the use of expired drugs or treatment.

3.    Creating an institutional structure to restrict the medical expenses of private hospitals.

> Restrictions and Tasks of Government Hospital;

The infrastructure of government hospitals and the manpower crisis is one of the major problems of the country's medical system. Lack of doctors in rural hospitals and modern equipment insufficiency has made the quality of treatment almost impossible for the common people.

In addition, most government hospitals in the country are in vain due to lack of skilled technicians. Proper maintenance of medical equipment requires skilled manpower and adequate budget allocation.

Suggested steps:

1.    Increase the number of beds of government hospitals.

2.    Appoint trained technicians for modern machinery maintenance.

3.    Take special initiatives to expand medical services in rural areas.

> Degradation of morality in the medical system;

At present, moral degradation in the medical system of the country has reached its peak. The use of expired drugs and corruption in the operation theater proves that medical care is being operated in many cases instead of human responsibility.

Even the death of a student named Abhijit in the dengue shock syndrome has brought the restrictions and defects to the medical system. Such wrong treatment and negligence are reducing the confidence of the people in the medical system of the country.

> Required to prevent this deterioration:

1.    To consider medical care as a humanitarian responsibility.

2.    To ensure the practice of morality between doctors and hospital authorities.

3.    Establish good governance at every level of medical system.

> Foreign treatment and foreign exchange wastage;

Not only the wealthy people, but also the top officials of the government are running for medical treatment because of the disobedience of Bangladesh's medical system, India and other developed countries of the world and other developed countries of the world. It creates questions - Does the government of the government know the real state of the country's health sector? Do they know how weak the country's health care centers are and what steps are being taken to develop it? Or, are they aware that the huge amount of money going abroad in the name of medical treatment is how much adversely affect the country's economy?

This is not just a challenge for the government, but also a national crisis. If these foreign currency were invested in the health sector of the country, the medical system of Bangladesh would have been much better and our people could get better medical care in the country. But because of this huge money going abroad, our economy is weakening and making people dependent abroad for better treatment.

It is important to take quick steps to solve the existing problems and limitations in the country's health sector. In order to ensure health care as the fundamental right of the people, a high -level committee headed by the interim government's health adviser must take initiative to resolve the problems.

The problems raised in this article and the proposed solutions were brought to the notice of the health adviser and requested to take necessary steps. It is expected that this will help bring the desired change in the country's medical system.

That is why the goodwill and sincere initiative of the concerned authorities are essential. In the coming days, any government will come forward with the responsibility of implementing these infrastructure and moral changes and will work unitedly to improve the health system of the nation - it is our strong expectation.
Finally, the biggest complaint against the country's health sector in the last 54 years is 'mismanagement'. In fact, a professional health management has not developed in the country. The same scene is seen everywhere as you go from the grassroots. For countries like ours, the World Health Organization's suggestion is to allocate budget to the health sector as much as five percent of GDP. In Bangladesh, less than one percent of GDP has been allocated in the budget for more than an era. At least 70 percent of the allotted money costs in sectors like salary and allowances. The rest is supposed to be used for the development of healthcare, which is very inadequate. The allocation for this sector should be increased considering the overall development of the health sector. The health sector should be made free of corruption and the maximum use of this money. That is why regular research, proper action plan and regular observation. The mentality of respecting others should be more prosperous. The culture of honoring different views is more positive. Harahamsha dreams of discrimination in all cases. Basic needs such as food, clothing, housing, medical, workplace facilities are equally paved. Let the violence and envy. A full victory of the consciousness of independence.
