The terrorists cut off the finger of a businessman named Yakub after not getting a contribution of Tk 5 lakh in Rupganj . At that time, the terrorists took Tk 2 lakh cash from the victim.
On Friday night, the victim Yakub filed a written complaint in Rupganj Police Station against the late Islam Mia's son Arif (52) and Zahid (26) son of Arif Mia of the same area and 7-8 other unknown persons as defendants in the incident. .
Based on the written complaint of the plaintiff, it is known that "PRB" has been jointly managing the business by taking a share of the partnership in the brick kiln at Tarail Sakin of Rupganj Thana border. For quite some time, the accused have been demanding TK 5 lakh’s from him. On refusing to pay the subscription, the accused Arif threatened that the brick kiln would not be allowed to run if the demanded subscription was not paid.
At about 8:30 pm on Thursday night, on the way to his home from the brick kiln, as soon as he reached the paved road in front of the closed shop of Shahidul in Tarail area of Rupganj police station, the accused armed with locally made weapons like iron rods, steel SS pipes, sharp ramdaow, sticks, clubs attacked them. .
Local pedestrians rescued him in an injured condition and took him to Rupganj Upazila Health Complex.
OC. of Rupganj police station Liaquat Ali said that the police have been sent to the spot. Legal action will be taken after investigation.
