Unidentified miscreants vandalised at least 7 idols of the Durga Puja at Sree Gopunath Akhra in Batrish of Kishoreganj town on Thursday midnight.

The local administration has been informed, and DC Fouzia Khan, Police Super (SP) Md.Hasan Chowdhury BPM (Sheba), RAB -14 in Kishoreganj Camp Commonder Squadron leader Ashraful and Army have visited on the spot.

They assured the Hindu Communities that the hunt was on to nab the fanatics. Criminals have vandalised.

Liton Sarker, president of Gopinath temple committee, said the hands and heads of the three idols were found damaged. Miscreants may have carried out the vandalism at Thursday midnight.
Work to repair the damaged idols is underway.
