Marking the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (Sa.), special prayers and munajat were held after Zuhr prayers today across all units of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP), including its headquarters on Wednesday.

The programs were organized to commemorate the sacred life, ideals, and humanitarian teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SA) and to pray for the overall welfare of the country, nation, and the force.

Messages from the Hon'ble President and Prime Minister were read out at the headquarters and all operational units. Following Zuhr prayers, the Director General of the force, Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, attended a special prayer session at the headquarters mosque. Additional Director General Brigadier General Mamunur Rashid, Deputy Directors General, and various officials and employees of the headquarters were also present. Besides, high-quality food was served to patients admitted to the Ansar-VDP Academy Hospital to mark the occasion's significance.

The prayer sessions featured recitation from the Holy Quran, the offering of Darud and Salam, and emphasis on following the unparalleled character, humanity, equality, brotherhood, justice, honesty, and peaceful teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SA)

Special munajats were offered seeking divine peace, prosperity, and welfare for the nation, protection of independence and sovereignty, overall progress of the Bangladesh Ansar and VDP, and the health and well-being of all members and their families.

The life and ideals of Prophet Muhammad (Sa.) impart unique lessons in honesty, trustworthiness, righteousness, discipline, responsibility, and humanity. Following his teachings enables members to treat their duties as a sacred trust (amanat), perform responsibilities with dedication and integrity, and ensure humane behavior toward colleagues and service-seekers. Members of the Bangladesh Ansar and VDP were urged to draw inspiration from the Prophet's ideals and play a responsible, humane role in serving the country and its people.
