Shaheed Zia Library organises Book Fair in Munshiganj on Zia’s death anniversary

On the occasion of the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) founder and late former President Ziaur Rahman, a book fair was organized by the ‘Zia Smriti Pathagar’ (Zia Memorial Library).
The day-long fair began at 11:00 AM on Friday at the district BNP office in the Thanar Pool area of the town.
The Fair was inaugurated by Md. Mohiuddin, Member Secretary of the Munshiganj District BNP. The event was presided over by Md. Farhad Hossain, President of Zia Smriti Pathagar Munshiganj.
Organizers stated that the book fair features various publications on Ziaur Rahman, Khaleda Zia, and Tarique Rahman. They added that the fair is part of a nationwide program by the Zia Smriti Pathagar to present Tarique Rahman’s thoughts and vision for the country to the next generation on the occasion of Ziaur Rahman’s martyrdom anniversary.
Among others present at the program were AKM Eradat Manu, Convenor of Munshiganj Municipal BNP and former mayor; Advocate Mahbubul Alam Swapan, General Secretary of the organization; Muhammad Masud Rana, Member Secretary of the District Jubo Dal; Abul Hashem, President of the District Chhatra Dal; and Shahidul Islam Shahid, former councilor of Munshiganj Municipality.
