After overcoming various complications and adversities, the construction of the four-lane road that claims the lives of the people of Lakshmipur is finally going to start soon, said Executive Engineer of Lakshmipur Roads and Highways Department (RHD) Md. Zahirul Islam.

About 35 kilometers of the two-lane road between Noakhali Chowmuhani Chowrasta-Lakshmipur will be converted into a four-lane highway.

The Lakshmipur Roads and Highways Department has received permission to widen the road on both sides of the highway from Begumganj to Lakshmipur Bus Terminal in Noakhali district and construct a four-lane road with a width of 48 feet.

He further said, in view of our recommendation, they have added a project evaluation committee. The new construction work of the four-lane Begumganj-Lakshmipur highway will start soon.

According to the RHD, the Interim Government is gradually adopting separate service lanes on both sides of the national highways across the country in order to build a sustainable road network.

On January 29, at a meeting with the participation of participants to ensure road safety, Executive Engineer of the RHD Zahirul Islam confirmed the matter, giving a reasonable example of placing bricks at different places on the Dhaka to Raipur highway. At the same time, he warned against driving overloaded vehicles on the road.

This official of the Lakshmipur Roads Department has been working tirelessly for the development of the district for the last few years.

Under his leadership, the development of Lakshmipur Bhola Barishal Majuchoudhuri Hat Road, the construction of the Lakshmipur South Temuhani to North Temuhani, Jhumur to South Temuhani, Charshahi Highway, numerous roadworks, and bridges have been completed successfully .
