Removal of Kalapara Health Administrator Dr Lenin demanded

A human chain, protest rally, and demonstration were held demanding the removal of Dr. J.H. Khan Lenin, the Upazila Health Administrator of Kalapara, Patuakhali.
The protest was organized by students at 12 PM on Saturday in front of the hospital complex.
Speakers at the event included Adv Khandaker Nasir Uddin, Organizational Secretary of Upazila BNP; student leader Mahbubul Alam Naim; H.M. Mostafizur Rahman Rafi, Senior Joint Secretary of the Barishal Metropolitan Committee of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement; and victim Khokon Howlader.
The speakers alleged, Dr. J.H. Khan Lenin, who has been working at Kalapara Hospital for 14 years, has turned it into his personal business center. They claimed he has set up multiple private labs and a personal hospital. They further alleged that under his leadership, a single injured patient has been issued two different medical certificates, leading to multiple lawsuits. They also accused him of medical negligence, which has allegedly resulted in several patient deaths, amputations, and severe physical suffering. Despite these controversies, he was promoted and appointed as the Upazila Health Administrator at the same hospital.
Following the human chain, a protest march was held, which moved through the main streets of the municipal town before concluding in front of the Kalapara Press Club, where another protest meeting was held.
