Rally, discussion held in Barishal to celebrate World Milk Day

With the slogan "With the immense power of milk, let’s come together," a rally and discussion were organized on Sunday at 9 AM by the Deputy Commissioner and the Barishal District Livestock Department, with the support of the Livestock and Dairy Development Project (LDDP), to celebrate World Milk Day 2025 at the BDS Conference Room.
The event began with a vibrant rally starting from the BDS premises, which proceeded through the city’s major roads and concluded at the BDS Conference Room. A discussion session was held afterward. The chief guest at the discussion was Barishal Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Delowar Hossain.
The event was chaired by Barishal District Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman. Additional Police Superintendent of Barisal, Md. Masum Billa, was present as a special guest. The keynote address was delivered by Principal Scientific Officer of the Regional Animal Disease Investigation Laboratory, Barisal, Dr. Nurul Alam. At the end, the guests discussed various aspects of World Milk Day.
