Public rep should work for welfare of people, it is not their responsibility to loot : Khairul Kabir Khokon MP

BNP Joint Secretary General and MP from Narsingdi-1 Sadar constituency Khairul Kabir Khokon said, people's representatives will work for the welfare of the people. It is not their responsibility to loot. The people have rejected those who looted the people's money. They have been forced to flee the country. We are elected by the people's votes, so we are obliged to work for their welfare. If the party leaders and workers are involved in any immoral activities, double action will be taken against them.
He made these remarks while attending a cash and corrugated iron distribution ceremony among families affected by various natural disasters at the Narsingdi Sadar Upazila Auditorium on Wednesday noon as the chief guest.
Narsingdi Sadar UNO Asma Jahan Sarkar was present at the event, along with Narsingdi Social Service Officer Ashraful Islam Khan, Narsingdi Sadar Upazila BNP President Abu Saleh Chowdhury, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Monirul Islam and many others.
During this time, 21 beneficiaries were provided with corrugated tin and cash, and 150 were provided with ration cards for the elderly, widows, and disabled.
