A rally, discussion and award ceremony were held in Natore to raise awareness about corruption prevention on Wednesday.
A huge rally was held in front of the district administration office. The rally circled the main roads and ended at the Collectorate School and College.
Later, a discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the Collectorate School and College under the overall guidance of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Rajshahi Integrated District Office and organized by the District Corruption Prevention Committee, Natore District. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ICT and Education) Jannat Ara Ferdous was present as the chief guest, while Assistant Director of ACC Rajshahi Integrated District Office Tanvir Ahmed, eminent educationist Professor Suvidha Kumar (Alok Moitra), Natore Press Club General Secretary Kamrul Islam, United Press Club General Secretary Kamal Hossain, Unique Press General Secretary Bulbul Ahmed, District Corruption Prevention Committee President Abdur Razzak and General Secretary Mostafizur Rahman Tutul, along with teachers and students from various educational institutions of Natore were present as special guests.
The speakers said that corruption is the biggest obstacle to the development, good governance and justice of a country. It not only causes economic damage, but also erodes the moral values of people.
