
One killed in accident : Train line in Shibchar turns death trap

Trains are regularly passing through the Padma Bridge and the train line from Madaripur Shibchar Padma Railway Station to Faridpur's Bhanga has turned into a death trap.
One person Rafiqul Islam (40) was killed after being hit by a train at a place called Mollar Bazar in Madbarerchar Union in Shibchar on Wednesday.
Rafiqul is the son of Khorshed Alam from Pirojpur village in Meherpur. Rafiqul was a scrap metal trader by profession. He had been living on rent in Bakharer Kandi, Madbarerchar, Shibchar for five years. He has been running a scrap metal business in Bakharer Kandi for a long time. Rafiqul had been gambling on mobile phones at various times in Bakharer Kandi and had become in debt.
His relatives said that he committed suicide because he could not repay the loan. According to sources, the accident occurred on Wednesday evening (March 19) on the Molla Bazar Standard railway line in Madbarchar, Shibchar.
According to sources, Rafiqul was standing on the railway line of the train during Maghrib. Meanwhile, he collided with a train going from Dhaka to Bhangari and fell on the line, immediately breaking his body into four pieces.
Locals commented on this matter as sad, the locals also said that he had been doing scrap metal business in our area for a long time.
Rajbari Railway Police Station Sub-Inspector Md. Khairuzzaman Sikder said, after receiving the news from the locals, we are quickly going to visit the scene with a police team. The matter is very sad. It is not yet confirmed how the deceased Rafiqul was hit by the train.
