Nurul Islam Moni appointed Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on Public Undertakings

Member of Parliament for Barguna-2 and Chief Whip of the National Parliament Mohammad Nurul Islam Moni has been appointed Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Undertakings.
The committee was reconstituted during a parliamentary session on Thursday following a proposal moved with the approval of the Leader of the House. The motion was subsequently passed by a voice vote chaired by Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad Bir Bikrom.
Under the reconstituted body, nine other Members of Parliament representing various constituencies were named as members alongside Chairman Nurul Islam Moni.
Formed in accordance with Article 76 of the Constitution and Rules 240, 247, and 248 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament, the Standing Committee on Public Undertakings of the 13th National Parliament is tasked with oversight, parliamentary monitoring, and policy evaluation regarding state-owned enterprises and public institutions.
