New committee of Ctg Reporters Forum : Kazi Monsur President, Murad Secretary

A new 15-member committee of the Chattogram Reporters Forum (CRF) has been formed. The founding member of the organization, Kazi Abul Monsur (Associate Editor – Protidiner Sangbad), has been elected as President, and Golam Mawla Murad (Bureau Chief – Baishakhi TV) has been elected as General Secretary.
The committee was formed for the next three years with the direct support of members present at a special general meeting held at Abdul Khalek Auditorium of the Chattogram Press Club.l on Saturday.
Aliur Rahman (Executive Editor – Purbobarta) has been nominated as Senior Vice President; Hasan Mukul (Bureau Chief – Dainik Dinkal) as Vice President; Mohammad Ali (Former Senior Staff Reporter – Manabkantha) as Joint Secretary; Saifullah Chowdhury (Senior Reporter – Dainik Purbodesh) as Finance Secretary; Monirul Islam Parvez (Staff Reporter – ATN News) as Sports and Cultural Secretary; Tanvir Ahmed (Special Correspondent – CHD News) as Organizational Secretary; Abul Kashem Saroz (News Editor – Chatga News) as Publicity and Publication Secretary; Md. Hasan Murad (Deputy Bureau Chief – Ajkaler Khobor) as Office Secretary; and Md. Gias Uddin (Staff Reporter – Bangla TV) as International and IT Affairs Secretary.
In addition, four executive members have been nominated: Kamrul Huda (Editor – News Garden), Sajal Kanti Chowdhury (Special Correspondent – Commercial Times), Mohon Mintu (Editor – Khas Khobor News), and Mujahidul Islam (Executive Editor – Dainik Shomor).
During the special general meeting, Kazi Monsur stated that CRF is a beloved organization for professional journalists. “We want to move forward with those who dreamt of this organization in the beginning and those who are thinking about its future,” he said.
He also added that the new committee plans to implement various initiatives in the next three years with everyone’s support, including a housing project and professional training programs to improve the living standards of journalists.
Others who spoke at the meeting included Senior Vice President Aliur Rahman, General Secretary Golam Mawla Murad, and member SM Pintu.
Following the general meeting and the committee formation, the newly formed committee and members paid a courtesy visit to Zahidul Karim Kochi, Member Secretary of the Chattogram Press Club. Zahidul Karim welcomed the new committee with flowers.
