Nationwide extensive programmes taken to celebrate World Tourism Day

The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism has undertaken comprehensive preparations to celebrate World Tourism Day nationwide with extensive programs, aiming to project the country's heritage onto the global stage.
The decisions were finalized during a high-level preparatory meeting held at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the Bangladesh Secretariat.
Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Afroza Khanam, MP, and State Minister M. Rashiduzzaman Millat, MP, jointly presided over the session. The theme for this year's World Tourism Day has been designated as "Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence for Future Tourism."
Addressing the meeting, Minister Afroza Khanam emphasized the government's resolve to celebrate the occasion with immense enthusiasm across the country. She directed officials to organize exhibitions showcasing indigenous culture and heritage to elevate domestic tourism internationally, while also instructing authorities to ensure synchronized celebrations at the district level.
State Minister M. Rashiduzzaman Millat outlined several key promotional initiatives for the upcoming celebration. He announced that television commercials (TVCs) prepared by the Bangladesh Tourism Board will be broadcast at high-traffic and prominent public locations nationwide.
The meeting was attended by Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Fahmida Akhter, NDC, alongside other senior officials from the ministry and its subordinate agencies.
