Following a report published in the Daily Ittefaq titled "A Shop in One Hand, Wheelchair as the Path of Struggle," Dhaka District Commissioner Ms. Farida Khanom has stepped forward to assist Arman, an indomitable young man continuing his relentless battle with life.

After the report caught her attention, representatives acting on the Deputy Commissioner's directives contacted Arman and invited him to the District Commissioner’s office.

Accepting the invitation, Arman visited the DC office accompanied by his younger brother. There, the Deputy Commissioner conversed with them, attentively listening to their accounts of financial hardship and medical crises. She then immediately handed over financial assistance of BDT 20,000 to Arman.

Beyond immediate support, the Deputy Commissioner assured arrangements for Arman's necessary medical treatment. Furthermore, she pledged to initiate steps to provide him with a permanent shop space to establish a sustainable livelihood if he wishes to set up a permanent business.

Overwhelmed by the unexpected assistance, Arman shared that due to a lack of funds, he had been unable to undergo treatment for a long time. With the District Commissioner's support, he now sees hope to finally begin his medical care. He also expressed optimism that securing a permanent shop would allow him to shoulder his family's responsibilities more effectively.

A long-standing battle against poverty and physical disability has now been met with a new beacon of hope. A single news report delivered a helping hand, and guided by that support, Arman has begun to dream anew. Now, the wait is to complete his treatment and stand firmly—not merely on his feet, but on his own self-reliance.
