Tawhidul Islam, Cox's Bazar
Several hundred students and public gathered at the premises of the Central Shaheed Minar in Cox's Bazar, holding candles in their hands on Tuesday evening.
Although there were no banners or posters, many participants wore the national flag tied around their foreheads. Standing in orderly rows, they began singing the national anthem in unison: “Amar Shonar Bangla, Ami Tomay Bhalobashi.”
Following the national anthem, they performed several patriotic songs including “Dhono Dhanno Pushpe Bhora,” “Prothom Bangladesh,” and “Ami Banglay Gaan Gai.”
Afterwards, the crowd was seen chanting slogans one after another. The slogans included: “Bangladesh First,” “Beware of the Collaborators of '71,” “Beware of the Collaborators of '24,” and “Who are you? Who am I? Bangladeshi, Bangladeshi.”
Alongside students from various institutions, members of cultural organizations, professionals from different sectors, and the general public, activists from the student wing of a political party, Chhatra Dal, were also present in the event organized under the banner of “Bangladesh First.”
