Mass Iftar at JU on 10th Ramadan

A mass iftar was organized at Jahangirnagar University (JU) on the 10th day of the holy month of Ramadan, with the participation of over a thousand students, teachers, and staff.
The event took place on Tuesday at the university’s central playground and was arranged by the 50th batch of students.
According to the organizers, students from the 50th batch took the initiative to host the mass iftar. From the time of Asr prayer, attendees participated with great enthusiasm. The event also featured Quran recitation, Hamd, Naat, and other Islamic performances.
JU Proctor, Prof Rashidul Alam, praised the initiative, stating, “The month of Ramadan teaches us humility. It is a crucial time for worship and self-reflection. Such mass iftar gatherings strengthen our mutual bonds.”
University’s Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Sohel Ahmed said we have witnessed many positive changes in universities after various movements, and mass iftar is one of them.
