A man was was killed and 60 others injured in a clash between two groups of villagers at Mautupi village in Bhairab upazila of Kishoreganj on Thursday over supremacy, previous enmity. The victim was identified as Abdul kawiqum, son of Ramiz Uddin Mia in Moutupi village under Sadekpur union of Bhairab upazila. Police including Army reached the spot and tried to calm the situation. Among the injured, 10 were referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) and Zahurul Islam Medical College Hospital, Bajitpur . The rest of the injured were treated at Bhairab Government Hospital .

Among them, 10 seriously injured people have been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for better treatment.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) in Bhairab police station, Mohammad Hasmat Ullah said that, dead body recovered and sent to Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital Mourge for autopsy.
