A 7-day block and batik training for women entrepreneurs has been inaugurated by the Kapasia Upazila Youth Development Officer's office in Gazipur. The training officially began on Sunday morning at the Upazila Parishad meeting room.
Kapasia UNO Dr. Tamanna Tasneem spoke as the chief guest at the inaugural meeting held under the chairmanship of Upazila Youth Development Officer Md. Ejaz Mia.
Among others, Kapasia Press Club President FM Kamal Hossain, Assistant Upazila Youth Development Officer Shamsuzzaman Akand, Journalist Nurul Amin Sikder, Women Entrepreneur Group Admin Sharmin Sultana, Karima Akhter Kanta, Journalist Akram Hossain Hiron, and others spoke at the event.
This training has been organized under the revenue sector under the Department of Youth Development with the aim of creating self-employment for unemployed youth and young women.
30 women entrepreneurs from the Upazila Women Entrepreneurs Group have participated in the 7-day training. They will receive training in block and batik printing. After the training, their certificates will be officially distributed.
