45th founding anniv of Patuakhali Ansar Battalion celebrated

The 45th founding anniversary of the Patuakhali Ansar Battalion of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force was celebrated in a colorful event at the company headquarters recently.
Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP, Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, SGP, BAM, NDU, AFWC, PSC, delivered a congratulatory message via video conference during the event.
The chief guest was Barishal Range Commander Md. Asaduzzaman Gani.
On arrival in Patuakhali, Battalion Director Sadon Chakma and other officials welcomed him with floral greetings. Later, a smart Ansar team presented a guard of honor to the chief guest. After inspecting the guard, he awarded the members of the team.
On the occasion of the anniversary, the battalion headquarters was aesthetically decorated. The event was formally inaugurated by the chief guest through cake cutting, releasing pigeons and balloons. Later, he delivered a directive speech to the participating officers and members in the darbar. He said, “We must be self-confident and patriotic, ready to play an active role for the nation—whether in state programs, natural disasters, or any emergency situation.”
The event included sports, cultural performances, and prize distribution, where the chief guest handed over prizes to the winners. Later, a perennial drumstick sapling was planted on the battalion premises.
At the end of the event, guests joined in a feast with all the officers, employees, and members of the battalion and signed the visitor’s book.
Battalion Commander Sadon Chakma, Barisal District Commandant Md. Nahid Hasan Jony, Barguna District Commandant Ujjal Kumar Pal, Jhalokathi District Commandant Pradeep Chandra Dutta, Patuakhali District Commandant Shafiqul Islam, Assistant Director of Patuakhali Battalion Md. Farid Rahman, Assistant Director of Barisal Range Naoshin Sharika, and other officers and employees were also present.
