Journalist Helal Uddin felicitated in Rajshahi

Journalists in Rajshahi accorded a warm reception and floral welcome to Helal Uddin, former Deputy Editor of Daily Jugantor and a renowned journalist, during his visit to Rajshahi.
Helal Uddin arrived at the office of the Chamber of Journalists, located at Olkar Mor in Rajshahi city, at around 7:30 pm on Saturday.
Leaders of the organization and local journalists welcomed him with flowers. The office premises turned into a gathering of journalists, well-wishers and media professionals on the occasion.
Senior journalist Mamun Reza, investigative journalist Shahinur Rahman Sona, SM Shafiqul Alam Emon, Rozina Sultana Rozy, Naim Hossain, veteran journalist and Chamber member Abul Kalam Azad, along with other local media professionals, were present at the event.
Addressing the journalists, Helal Uddin offered some valuable guidance, saying, “Chase the news, not anything else. Only then can you establish yourself as a professional and objective journalist. Regardless of the place or medium in which you work, success will come if you perform your responsibilities with honesty, dedication and commitment.”
Local young and working journalists listened attentively to his valuable advice. Helal Uddin also expressed hope that he would return to Rajshahi in the near future and spend time with journalists there.
Earlier, at the Rajshahi Circuit House, Helal Uddin was presented with an honorary crest and a greeting memento on behalf of Abdullah Iqbal Ahmed, a Finland-based internationally renowned journalist and chairman of Swojon Foundation. Noted social worker Javed Ali, journalists Asgar Ali Sagar and Samrat, along with other prominent local personalities, were present on the occasion.
