Human chain to protect UP building in Gafargaon

A human chain was organized to protect the Union Parishad office in Gafargaon, Mymensingh by the initiative of the local people.
Hundreds of people from different professions participated in an hour-long human chain in front of the Charalgi Union Parishad office on Thursday afternoon.
In their speech, the local residents protested against the attempt to move the Charalgi Union Parishad office from its own place to a rented place.
The speakers said that some unscrupulous people of the union are conspiring to shift the building by making the common people suffer to protect their interests. This will increase the suffering of thousands of people of Charalgi Union.
At present, the residents of the area demanded that the Union Parishad office be maintained in its own building and the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and the Union Parishad Administrator to solve the problem of public grievances.
Abul Hashem, Hamizuddin, Swapna Begum, Josna Ara, Rifat Hossain and others spoke in the human chain.
