Foundation stone laid for DC Park : A new horizon for public recreation in Gopalganj

The foundation stone for the modern DC Park, to be constructed in Gopalganj town, was laid on Sunday morning by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Kamruzzaman near the Dhaka-Khulna highway adjacent to Jugashikha School.
Following the foundation stone laying, the District Administrator participated in a special prayer and planted a bakul tree sapling.
The Deputy Commissioner said, his modern park will be built through the collaboration of Gopalganj Municipality, LGED, the Public Works Department, the Water Development Board, and the District Council. The park will feature a fountain designed in the style of the GI product rasgulla and branches, an aesthetically pleasing wooden bridge, children’s playground equipment, a walkway, and a vibrant flower garden.”
He further added, “This initiative aims to provide some relief and joy for the busy people of the town to enjoy with their families.”
The event was attended by notable figures, including Deputy Director of Local Government and Municipal Administrator Bishwajit Kumar Pal, Municipal Secretary Rakibul Islam, LGED Executive Engineer Md. Mehedi Hasan, Public Works Department Executive Engineer Md. Azharul Haque, Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Sarowar Hasan, Additional District Administrator (General) Md. Golam Kabir, Additional District Administrator (Revenue) S.M. Tarek Sultan, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer M. Rakibul Hasan, and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Babli Shabnam, among others.
