Extortion, oppression of Mukta Mia, Mizanur Rahman alleged in Gaibandha

Locals have become overwhelmed by the extortion and oppression of Mukta Mia and Mizanur Rahman Milan as a journalist in Ballamjhar in Gaibandha Sadar upazila.
Locals formed a human chain on DB Road in the Kachari Bazar area of the city on Wednesday demanding their punishment.
Later, a press conference was held at the Gaibandha Press Club auditorium on the same demand.
Speakers in the human chain mentioned that Mukta Mia and Mizanur Rahman Milan, son of Azizur Rahman of South Khullabari Masterpara village of Sadar upazila, were extorted to innocent people during the Fascist government.
Their extortion is still continuing. People in the area have become overwhelmed by their persecution. If they did not want to contribute, they started propagating through social media, fearing to engage in various tactics and cases. There are multiple cases of extortion against Mukta Mia. Even his parents have filed a case against Mukta.
Mukta Mia's Jethat Bhai recently made Jewel Mia, a marijuana and yaba businessman working at the buying house in Dhaka, propagated social media- Facebook. He tagged the post on Facebook to the District Drug Control Office and Superintendent of Police. The DSB also investigated this. But Jewel Mia has not been accused of selling any drugs. In this way, Mukta Mia and his brother Mizanur Rahman have been harassing and torturing the innocent people in the Milan area. Speakers demanded exemplary punishment for both of them.
