Devastating Fire at Hakim Plaza Market in Narayanganj

A massive fire broke out at Hakim Plaza Market in the Deobhog area of Narayanganj city on Wednesday (June 18) at around 11:15 AM.
Abdul Baten, a firefighter from the Mandolpara Station of Narayanganj Fire Service and Civil Defense, said that two firefighting units rushed to the spot upon receiving the alert and brought the fire under control after nearly two hours of effort.
The exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damages were not immediately known. Preliminary reports suggest that multiple shops in the market were damaged.
The incident caused widespread panic among local traders and residents. Many rushed to evacuate goods from their shops during the blaze.
The fire service authorities stated that the exact cause and total damage will be determined after a primary investigation.
