Deceased Ansar family member's loan burden waived at DG's initiative

The dreams of a settled middle-class family were abruptly shattered on March 12, 2026. Joy Gain, a sipahi of the Satkhira Ansar Battalion (30 BN), was electrocuted w
hile performing his duties at the Ansar and VDP Academy in Shafipur. He left behind his wife, Monisha Biswas, and two innocent children—one aged three years and the other just seven months. Along with grief, the overwhelming burden of a bank loan amounting to Tk 4,21,763 stood like a massive mountain before the family.
When Monisha lacked the means to run the household, the impossible burden of paying bank loan installments arrived as a cruel twist of fate. Sipahi Joy Gain had taken a loan of Tk 4,15,763 from the Ansar-VDP Development Bank under the "Ek Bari Ek Khamar" (One House, One Farm) project. Including interest, the total loan stood at Tk 4,21,763. Looking into the faces of her two young children, Monisha was utterly helpless, but a wave of humanity brought a touch of relief.
In response to an application submitted by Monisha Biswas, the Director General of the force, Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, handed over a check for the entire loan amount of Tk 4,21,763 to Monisha at his office at the Bangladesh Ansar and VDP Headquarters in Khilgaon on Monday, November 2, creating an emotionally charged atmosphere across the office. Standing beside him, the force's Director (Welfare), Mr. Enamul Khan, also witnessed the Director General's compassionate initiative and the scene of relief for a distressed family.
This grant is not merely financial assistance from the welfare fund; it is a truly unique humanitarian support. Through the Director General's compassionate initiative, the family left behind by the late Joy Gain was freed from bank liabilities. Monisha's tear-filled eyes and gratitude demonstrated that selflessness and empathy still exist in the world.
Life sometimes writes scripts more humane than the cinema. This loan repayment initiative by the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party proved that when a comrades-in-arms is lost, the family is not left alone—the force stands by them. At the end of the day, humans are for humans, and the story is truly one of eternal affection, warmth, and humanity.
