Protecting the environment is not only the responsibility of the government, but of all of us. A tree is like a life. We need to put more effort into preserving the balance of the environment and creating a livable world for future generations. Such initiatives by students are very important in building an environmentally conscious society.

UNO Sayeed Mohammad Ibrahim made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a debate competition organized with the overall support of the SSC 1998 batch at Dharmapur Multipurpose High School in Fatikchhari yesterday to celebrate World Environment Day 2026 on Thursday.
