Death trap created by breaking culvert on Garidaha-Zamadarpukur Link Road

The culvert on the road in the Garidah area of Sherpur Upazila of Bogura has become a death trap after breaking dawn it . It has been six months and more but there is no initiative to reform.
It can be seen that the cast of the bridge is broken. Quality Feeds Ltd provides steel pavements on which thousands of vehicles, students, businessmen and common people travel at risk. Along the road there are several schools-colleges-madrasas, hatcheries and other financial institutions along with a few heavy industries.
As a result, public transport with heavy and light vehicles is constantly moving through this road. Thousands of people are constantly moving over the bridge. Due to the lack of renovation, the residents are moving through this bridge which is impassable.
Abdul Quader, a local resident, said that due to the collapse of the culvert, all types of traffic on this road have been obstructed. A fatal accident can happen at any moment. Renovation or reconstruction of culverts is essential to facilitate movement of people and vehicles.
Sub -Assistant Engineer of Upazila Engineering Department Mahmudul Hassan said that the project proposal for the construction of the bridge has already been prepared and sent to the ministry. Hope the project proposal will be passed soon.
